Toyota has released a new 2012 model of their ever popular Hilux Pickup truck, and is looking for a 20% increase in vehicle production throughout the coming year.
The vehicle is now available with two engine versions - a turbodiesel 2.5 litre unit and a higher output 3.0 litre turbodiesel model. Both engines meet the more exacting Euro 5 emission standards, and are able to deliver lower CO2 levels with improved fuel consumptions and improved performance levels.
European sales of the Hilux pickup truck reached almost 22000 units in 2010, making it the best selling pickup on the continent. Over 13 million Hilux pickup trucks have been manufactured since its introduction in 1967.
