Changes to the Drivers Licence for Leased Pickup Truck Drivers
Wednesday 21 December 2011 | By Colin WingfieldBack to Blog
The Department for Transport have announced that as a result of its commitment to reduce red tape, paper versions of the UK Drivers Licence will be phased out over the next four years.
The paper part of the licence currently shows drivers endorsements, convictions and penalty points but this data will be held on a central computer and will be able to be accessed by vehicle hire companies and the Police as required.
Ministers are also considering whether motorists need to provide proof of insurance when applying for a Road Fund Licence online.
