Many drivers may have suspected it, but a recent survey of 2000 motorists carried out by webuyanycar.com has confirmed that BMW drivers are more likely to use their horn than any other motorist in the UK.
Over 50% of BMW drivers revealed that they use the car horn at least once every journey - over three times the national average.
Drivers of the German car manufacturer came out on top, followed by drivers of Jaguar and Fiat models. Many of those questioned admitted that they use the horn as a consequence of irritation or anger. However, drivers of Nissan vehicles came out as the lowest users of their vehicles horn - perhaps good news for Nissan Navara drivers!
Over 50% of motorists quizzed stated that they were most likely to use their horn when the driver of the vehicle in front of them failed to respond to a green light quickly enough.
Almost half of drivers were also unaware that their vehicles' horn should only be used in daylight hours.
