Truck and Van security awards

With 21 vans being broken into every hour – more than 500 every day according to research from Direct Line for Business – van security has to be top of any tradesman's list of requirements.
Advances in modern passenger cars have now made them almost impossible to break in to and drive away.
But choosing a van that is theft-secure is trickier. So the British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards have been extended to incorporate vans in four categories: Light Van; Heavy Van; Pick-Up; and 4x4 Van.
The inaugural Manufacturer Award has been won by Citroen with five fully compliant ranges: the C2 Enterprise; Berlingo; Dispatch; Relay; and C-Crosser Enterprise.
"A continuing dedication to developing and improving our security technology will ensure customers not only benefit from a wide choice of award-winning, reassuringly secure vehicles, but also the satisfaction of money-saving, low insurance ratings," commented Gary Savage, managing director, Citroen.
The British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards, hosted by Thatcham – the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre – are supported by insurers, the Home Office, the Department for Transport and The AA Motoring Trust.
