Winter weather seminars planned by FTA

Fleet managers leasing Toyota Hilux pickups may be interested in attending a seminar designed to help organisations prepare their teams for severe winter weather.
The Highways Agency will be running the training session in Birmingham on November 16th, Yeovil on November 23rd and Ascot on November 30th.
Places are still available for all three dates, which are the remaining seminars in the Freight Transport Association's (FTA's) Transport Manager series.
The sessions aim to give managers information on how to minimise disruption when the weather becomes unpredictable.
Tyre manufacturer Goodyear and energy provider Shell are backing the events in the hope of preventing the extreme problems faced by the UK's supply chain last year.
Perrin Baker, senior UK marketing manager for Shell UK Oil Products, said: "Our partnership with FTA is vital to help ensure that transport managers have the most up-to-date facts and figures at their fingertips."
In August, the FTA published its Guide to Managing Drivers report, which provided guidance and advice on professional conduct.
