Winter tyres could benefit pickup truck leasing customers

Investing in a set of winter tyres could increase safety for those with pickup truck leasing vehicles and other motorists, it has been claimed.
Tyre company Continental has joined a campaign by TyreSafe to raise awareness of the importance of winter tyres and is supporting the organisation's Tyre Safety Month in October.
Research by Continental reveals that more than three million motorists were involved in a collision, or had a near miss, during last winter's cold snap.
Tests show that winter tyres can reduce stopping distances from 30mph by as much as eight metres in snow compared to normal tyres.
Indeed, whenever the temperature drops below seven degrees centigrade, winter tyres provide shorter braking distances and better grip.
Continental brand manager, Tracey Hyem, said: "Winter tyres are available to purchase in the UK from all good retailers. Our advice to drivers is to think about winter tyres early now. There's no point in being stuck on your driveway when the snow starts falling."
Last year's 'big freeze' saw temperatures drop to their lowest seasonal average since 1978/79.
