What Car? Has announced all of its road tests in 2012 will be carbon neutral thanks to a new offsetting scheme launched alongside Carbon Neutral Investments (CNI).
Editor in chief of What Car? Chas Hallett explained how the move will help to keep the motoring magazine at the forefront of manufacturing technology and industry progression.
Meanwhile, CNI co-chairman James Brown said: "With some 13 issues of the magazine per year, each containing upwards of 20 road tests there is a lot of work to do."
The partnership plans to utilise the Indian hydro-power project chosen by What Car? to offset its awards events, in a bid to bring significant environmental benefits and socioeconomic advantages to the Maharashtra region.
So far, the magazine has helped make a difference to the area and this is set to continue and expand through next year.
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes recently became the first 100 per cent carbon neutral Formula 1 team, as announced by CNI.
