Individuals leasing Nissan Navara pickups may want to make sure they run their vehicle regularly in order to keep it in good condition.
Waynne Smith, senior partner at TorqueCars.com, explained how motors that are left idle for long periods of time can suffer engine problems.
He recommended turning the vehicle over every once in a while so as to prevent a build of acids that can cause premature wear and tear once the engine has warmed up.
For those with a turbo engine, Mr Smith warned that it is important to allow 60 seconds of low revolutions per minute before turning the motor off.
"Avoid short journeys as well," the expert advised. "An engine that never gets up to operating temperature is never going to work efficiently and as a result, it will wear very quickly."
Mr Smith recently recommended cleaning vehicles regularly as grime and dirt can build up and cause damage to paintwork.
