A new study may interest Toyota Hilux drivers as it found that the manufacturing company is the world's greenest brand.
Toyota was awarded a top score of 64.19 points in the Best Global Green Brands event organised by Interbrand.
According to the assessment report by the organisation, the manufacturer is "a leading example of making the environment a core management priority, while also engaging in a meaningful way with audiences around the world".
In order to compile the Green Performance Score, Interbrand took into account the environmental performance and public perception of a brand's green credentials.
Data from the US, France, India, Brazil, Japan, UK, Italy and Germany was all consulted.
It seems Toyota's market-leading development of full hybrid technology was a key contributor to it securing top place ranking.
Elsewhere, 3M came in second place, while Siemens was ranked third in the Best Global Green Brands poll.
