TomTom launches Top Gear satnav

TomTom has announced the launch of a new device that may appeal to Nissan Navara drivers.

The Go Live Top Gear edition of its satellite navigation (satnav) system allows fans to access a Stig mode and listen to directions from Jeremy Clarkson.

It also features selected points of interest about race track and raceway locations that are related to the TV programme.

Managing director at TomTom Corinne Vigreux described the new device as "the ultimate driving companion" for Top Gear fans who "love the open road".

The Stig mode allows motorists to follow directions on the screen rather than listen to directions from Clarkson.

Along with the new features, the satnavs will offer the usual information about traffic jams and speed camera alerts, as well as highlighting local shops and businesses.

Top Gear is presented by motoring enthusiasts Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, who regularly test drive new vehicles and give their expert opinion on different models.
