Kia Motors UK have released details of a nationwide survey mapping evidence of pothole damage on a county by county basis.
The southern half of the country appears to have borne the brunt of the problem with the worst area, Surrey, showing more than double the amount of potholes than its neighbour Hampshire.
The full extent of the problem can be seen in the league table below and this is leading to numerous driving related damage to vehicles. Motorists have reported cases of broken suspension, split and damaged tyres and cracking of alloy wheels.
