Pass Plus training 'needs revision'

Drivers of Toyota Hilux pickup trucks may be interested to hear about a campaign designed to make Pass Plus training more credible.
The Driving Standards Agency and Department for Transport will tomorrow (June 8th) hold a seminar to discuss the education of young motorists.
At the event, the AA will call for the post-driving test to become more respectable by adding an examination at the end.
Simon Douglas, director of AA Insurance, said: "If education can help to prevent just a few tragic accidents of this sort it will be worth the investment. Too many young lives are lost in such circumstances."
Previously, the Pass Plus system has been discredited due to research suggesting little difference between the number of accidents among those who have taken the course and those who have not.
During the training sessions, individuals will complete six modules covering driving at night, in town, on rural roads, on motorways, in all weathers and on dual carriageways.
