Nissan Navara praised after road test

A recent road test of the pickup truck leasing vehicle the Nissan Navara has led to high praise for the model.

South African motoring website sacarfan.co.za tested the 3.0 V6 dCi 4x4 version of the truck and found it to be a top quality vehicle in many key areas.

Particular praise was reserved for the Navara'a powerful engine, which delivers a class-leading 550 Nm of torque and 170 kW of power.

However, it also provides good fuel economy for a vehicle of the Navara's size, delivering consumption of 9.5 L per 100km.

"Undoubtedly the jewel in the Navara's crown, the V6 brings a new level of performance and economy to the double-cab class," says the website's report.

"On road performance is fantastic for a 2.1 tonne double-cab and the 3.0 dCi Navara simply devours hills and kilometers," it adds.

The review also praises the quality of the vehicle's interior, as well as its passenger safety features.
