The Nissan Navara may become more popular among pickup truck leasing customers after being praised for its reliability.
According to Fleet News's annual FN50 report, the Navara is the most reliable pickup truck on the market.
The outcome was based on a survey of the country's 50 largest contract hire and leasing companies with a total of 840,000 cars and 183,000 light commercial vehicles used in the study.
The Nissan Nivara was found to be the most reliable pickup truck as well as the seventh most reliable commercial vehicle overall.
"Businesses that depend on vehicles take reliability very seriously, and can't afford downtime through breakdowns and incur extra costs," said Fleet News editor Stephen Briers.
"This is the largest reliability survey of its kind, so any vehicle with a top ten placing will represent a safe bet for any organisation or private motorist."
The Ford Transit was named as the most reliable van while the BMW 3 Series took the top spot on the list of most reliable cars.
