New Toyota Hilux 'greener'

The new Toyota Hilux pickup has been modified to incorporate the latest in touch-screen multimedia devices as well as improving its CO2 output.

This is according to editor of Vansa2z.com Neil McIntee, who described the state-of-the-art features that can be found on the model.

Individuals may be keen to hear about the rear-view camera and satnavs technology that has been introduced to the newly-designed dashboard.

Meanwhile, those concerned with energy efficiency may be pleased to hear the designers at Toyota have managed to improve fuel consumption rates.

In addition, the carbon emissions have been lowered and a diesel particulate filter has been attached to the engine in order to "remove the muck that comes out the back".

Some aspects have remained the same including the air scoop on top of the bonnet, which Mr McIntee explained is required for the intercooler for the turbo.

Toyota was recently named the world's greenest brand at the Best Global Green Brands event.
