New average speed cameras could cause problems for pickup truck leasing customers

Pickup truck leasing customers in London could be affected by new plans to introduce hundreds of average speed cameras across the capital.
The Evening Standard has reported that Transport for London is conducting trials using over 100 cameras in four London boroughs to track vehicles' average speed in 20mph zones.
Depending on the results of the tests, the technology could be rolled out across London and may even replace other traffic-calming measures such as speed bumps, the news provider claims.
RAC spokesman John Franklin told the newspaper: "We see average speed cameras as a better option than fixed cameras because people slow down and speed up again.
"But more cameras across London could be seen as overkill because there are so many traffic-calming options available."
Under the plans, London would be one of the few areas to be introducing new speed cameras in the UK as government spending cuts have meant several councils are having to consider switching off their cameras.
