Mitsubishi L200 drivers may be interested to hear about the latest global production figures released by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.
Total global production for the company in May came in at 92,785 units, which is up 11.2 per cent on the same month last year.
It also marks the first monthly increase since March 2011, which could be a positive sign that the motor industry is improving.
However, in Europe, production rates were down 17.5 per cent year-on-year at 25,645 units.
It is thought the increased global levels of output are due to the relative recovery in delivery of parts and components following the Japanese earthquake earlier this year.
According to official records, it was the most powerful earthquake to hit the country since records began, with additional devastation caused by a tsunami.
The manufacturer reported a fall in export shipments from Japan, with the total reaching 25,645 units, which was down 13.5 per cent on May 2010.
