Mitsubishi noted as 'a reliable brand'

Companies considering leasing a Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck may be interested to hear the brand has been praised for its reliability.

MB&G Insurance has compiled a list of car manufacturers that are thought to produce the most dependable vehicles using its database of warranty claims.

Mitsubishi ranked third for the fewest claims over the past year, with Toyota and Nissan also featuring in the top ten.

Many of the vehicles were noted as being Japanese and Korean brands with Honda taking the number one spot.

Kevin Pearce, director of MB&G, said: "Modern day cars are reliable, but if something starts to go wrong, it's more likely to be in the fourth or fifth years, or when the mileage reaches 70-100,000 miles."

He added that an increasing number of individuals and businesses appear to be keeping their cars longer and so may face experiencing costly repairs if problems occur.

Mitsubishi Motors first began trading in 1917, when the first Model A vehicle was introduced.
