Mitsubishi L200 Long Bed

The latest incarnation of the Mitsubishi L200 pick up truck is on sale now, in the shape of the L200 Long Bed. Mitsubishi is responding to criticism of the Standard model being too short. The L200 will sell alongside the existing L200 Standard Bed variants and will feature load beds extended by 18cm in overall length.

Mitsubishi says the cargo area is also higher and squarer at the rear, increasing carrying volume, with no reduction in cabin space.

The Long Bed variant is initially only available in Double Cab 4Work, 4Life and Warrior and Animal variants.

Warrior and Animal Long Bed variants also feature a higher-power 176bhp engine,

The L200 Double Cab 4Work and 4Life Long Bed feature the same specification as the Standard Bed variant.

The L200 Warrior Long Bed comes with 17" alloys, stability and traction control, super select 4WD, cruise control, chrome door mirrors/handles, climate control, leather steering and gear shift, and chrome rear bar.

The L200 Animal Long Bed adds Animal leather seats, Bluetooth, DVD Satellite Navigation with 7" screen, chrome door recess covers, fuel filler cap and tailgate cover, illuminated door entry guards, and chrome lamp bezels.

The Long Bed body style will attract a £750 – excluding VAT – premium over the Standard Bed equivalent, which costs £14,499. Long Bed Warrior derivatives will attract an additional £250 exc VAT.
