Liftshares 'can help save the environment'

Individuals driving leased Isuzu Rodeo pickups may want to help reduce their carbon footprint by offering to travel to work with their colleagues.

Sacha Billett, marketing manager at liftshare, described how car pooling can help people give something back to the environment and save money.

She explained that driving to work as a group can help individuals to combat rising fuel prices and car park fees.

It was suggested that liftsharing can be a great way to actively participate in making commutes more environmentally-friendly.

"Even if it is just one person extra in the car, that can make an impact - obviously [though] the more you have [in the car], the bigger the impact," Ms Billett remarked.

Those who do not have a vehicle were advised that they do not need to have a car in order to take part in a liftshare scheme.

Ms Billett added that such initiatives can be beneficial for both employees and business owners, as they reduce the demand on parking spaces.
