A warning to all pickup truck drivers who deliver or pickup in the North Lincolnshire area. North Lincolnshire Council have announced that they will be fining drivers who leave their engines running while unloading their vehicles.

The £20 fine would be issued by the council's traffic wardens if drivers refuse to turn their engines off when requested.

A spokesman said 'the council would not target motorists who leave their engines on for just a few seconds'
