Insurance provider loyalty may be costing pickup truck leasing customers

Pickup truck leasing customers could be paying more than they need to on their insurance, it has been revealed.

Research by Which? has found that a third of drivers do not shop around for insurance quotes when their current policy comes up for renewal.

It said that in some cases this could be costing them hundreds of pounds.

According to the consumer watchdog, 60 per cent of motorists who shopped around after receiving a renewal quote got a lower offer elsewhere.

Commenting on the findings, Which? chief executive Peter Vicary-Smith said: "Renewing your car insurance with your existing provider may be convenient, but our experts have found that this is one area where loyalty doesn't pay.

"Always shop around for the best deal."

The latest Which? insurance Recommended Provider analysis, the leading insurer is NFU Mutual with an 85 per cent rating, while the AA and RAC came bottom scoring just 54 per cent each.
