Ford wins new contract thanks to 'green credentials'

Drivers of Ford Ranger pickups may be interested to hear that Ford has secured a contract to supply a fleet of 139 low-emission cars to Safestyle UK.

The manufacturer was chosen by the Bradford-based company thanks to the green credentials that can be seen in its Ford Focus and Ford Mondeo diesel-engine models.

Steve Lambert, Safestyle UK fleet transport manager, said: "Safestyle has opted for the new Ford range to give our drivers the best drive possible when out on business."

He added that the vehicles would also help reflect the organisation's environmentally responsible image and campaign for the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Ford's Auto-Start-Stop technology and improved fuel economy were said to be among the key factors in Safestyle's decision to opt for the manufacturer's fleet.

Safestyle UK is an independent company that provides uPVC double-glazed windows, doors, French doors and sliding patio doors for commercial and private property.
