Drivers urged to support calls for pothole sign

Individuals interested in leasing Nissan Navara pickup trucks may soon notice a new road sign as they drive around the streets of Britain.

Confused.com has designed an information notice that aims to alert motorists to potholes in the road.

According to the organisation there are at least two million divots in the streets of the UK with many in such bad condition it would take at least 11 years to repair the damage.

The average road user is said to encounter ten potholes per day and Confused.com is now planning to petition the Department for Transport to make road signs warning about the hazards compulsory.

Mike Hoban, chief marketing officer at the firm, said: "A pothole road sign is a vital step in preventing accidents and reducing insurance claims whilst road maintenance continues."

So far the company has received support from 56 individuals who have signed the petition that will be passed on to the government.
