Crude oil price fall 'not benefiting drivers'

New research about the price of petrol may interest those who drive Nissan Navara pickups.
According to a study conducted by the AA, the recent fall in crude oil prices has provided no real benefit to motorists.
It was suggested that the seven per cent drop in the value of the pound against the dollar has prevented people from witnessing a 2p per litre price cut on petrol.
President of the AA Edmund King explained how it is only the fact it takes supermarkets so long to pass on the higher wholesale costs that has meant drivers have avoided being even worse off.
"UK families remain hostage to fuel price movements that buck traditional trends and oil prices that don't even make sense to experts in the market," he stated.
It seems the high cost of petrol may be pushing some people to extreme lengths, after the Leighton Buzzard Observer recently reported how local police are looking to trace the owner of a BMW with registration plate NG53 0PX.
A man seen driving this vehicle left Grovebury Service Station without paying for his fuel.
