Amarok provides Dakar Rally support

Volkswagen have recently supplied the support vehicles for the 2010 Dakar rally, which started from Argentina on January 1st. 35 all new VW Amarok pickup trucks accompanied the competitors over the gruelling 5600 mile course returning to the finishing line in Buenos Aires over two weeks later.
The new vehicle boasts a host of features designed to make traversing tough terrain easier for the driver. These include Electronic Differential Lock, Off Road ABS, Hill Descent Assist, Hill Hold Assist and ESP Plus system.
