AA patrols set to strike?

The Automobile Association may become the latest company faced with industrial action as members of their patrol staff voted to strike - an unprecendented course of action in the organisation's 105 year history.

If talks between the union and management break down, this could lead to industrial action affecting the organisation's 15 million members.

A spokesman at the Highways Agency has stated that any strike would not cause safety issues on motorways and major A roads, because they were obliged to move any vehicle that was causing an obstruction.
