92 hours of gridlock a week on Britain's most congested road

A new study by TomTom has revealed the roads pickup truck leasing drivers should steer clear of if they want to avoid congestion
The sat nav company has revealed a list of the top 25 most congested roads in Britain.
At number one is Bedford Road in Clapham, south London, which is gridlocked for an average of 92 hours a week, or more than 13 hours a day.
It is followed by Kingsway Tunnel Approach in Wallasey in Merseyside with an average of 90 hours of jams a week, while the B5159 in Warburton, the Eastern Bypass Road in Oxford and the A30 in Basingstoke all have 86 hours of congestion per week.
The study was compiled to mark the launch of TomTom's 'manifesto' on traffic, in which it aims to reduce traffic levels fro drivers by better managing road use.
Chief executive Harold Goddijn said: "We think it's time to challenge conventional thinking with a working solution to reduce traffic congestion right now on a very large scale."
