One vehicle in America has put the cost of the models on offer through pickup truck leasing in the UK in perspective.
Forbes magazine has compiled a list of the most expensive pickups in the US, with the number one spot going to Icon FJ45 at a cost of $120,000 (£75,300).
The next highest-value pickup truck is the GMC Sierra 1500 Hybrid, which comes in at $48,190.
Features of the FJ45, built by former Toyota employee Jonathan Ward, include a V8 engine that gets up to 450 horsepower and a sports suspension package that comes with nitrogen-charged remote canister shocks, limiter straps and hydraulic bump stops.
"There is not a single piece of plastic on that truck," Mike Levine, editor of Pickuptrucks.com told the news provider.
"Everything is metal, and it's coated in Defense Department-quality materials. It is an indestructible truck if there ever was one."
The price pales in comparison, however, to the world's most expensive production car - the $2,500,000 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
